VE3JW volunteers are active with ARISS (Amateur Radio on the International Space Station). This is a program that involves NASA and radio amateur organizations from around the world to provide amateur radio capabilities on the International Space Station.
Aboard the ISS, the amateur radio equipment is used by the crew to provide educational outreach to amateurs and students all over the world!
For a school contact, there is only about a 10 minute window in range of the station to ask questions, so the events are highly organized to make the maximum use of the time.
Check out the links in the sidebar for information and media about ARISS events.
